Aleš Mušič (born June 28, 1982 in Ljubljana , SR Slovenia ) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Olimpija Ljubljana from the Alps Hockey League since 2018 .
Career
Aleš Mušič began his career as a professional ice hockey player in 2000 with his hometown club HDD Olimpija Ljubljana , where he still plays today, although at the beginning of his career he was also on the ice for the no longer existing HK MARC Interieri . With Olimpija Ljubljana he played not only in the Slovenian ice hockey league but also in the last five events of the short-lived international interleague . Since 2007 he has also been playing for the club in the Austrian ice hockey league, where he is one of the club's regular players, while he continues to play with Olimpija in the Slovenian championship at the end of the season. In the course of his career he was able to celebrate nine Slovenian championship titles with the club (in the seasons 2000/01 , 2001/02 , 2002/03 , 2003/04 , 2006/07 , 2011/12 , 2012/13 , 2013/14 and 2015 / 16 ) and reached the finals in Olimpijas' premiere season in the Austrian league, where the team was defeated by EC Red Bull Salzburg . Between 2015 and 2017 is the team's captain in the ÖEHL.
After his parent club left the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, Mušič moved to Fehérvár AV19 in May 2017 , where he received a one-year contract. For the Hungarian team he scored 12 points in 43 games this season. He then returned to his parent club, which participates in the Alps Hockey League as HK Olimpija Ljubljana .
International
For Slovenia , Mušič took part in the junior division of Europe Division I of the U18 World Championships in 1999 and 2000 and the U20 World Championships in 2001 in Division II and in 2002 in Division I.
In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in the top division in 2008 , 2013 and 2015 and in Division I in 2009 , 2010 , 2012 , 2014 and 2016 . In addition, Mušič represented his colors at the qualifying tournaments for the 2010 and 2014 Olympic Winter Games as well as at the Games in Sochi itself, where the Slovenes took a surprising seventh place.
