Johan Harju (born May 15, 1986 in Övertorneå ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Luleå HF in the Svenska Hockeyligan again since January 2015 .
Career
Johan Harju began his career as a hockey player at Luleå HF , for which he was already active in the youth field. In the 2004/05 season , the attacker made his professional ice hockey debut when he was on the ice in four games for Luleå HF in the Elitserien , in which he remained unpunished. From the following season he played regularly for four years for the team that he left at the end of the 2008/09 season. For the 2009/10 season , the Swede signed a contract with HK Dynamo Moscow from the Continental Hockey League on April 8, 2009 , where his teammate Linus Omark also signed on the same day . For the 2010/11 season he moved to North America, where he received a contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning , who had already selected him in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft in the sixth round as a total of 167th player. During the season he was mainly used for their farm team Norfolk Admirals in the American Hockey League , while he scored a goal and prepared two goals for Tampa Bay in ten games in the National Hockey League .
For the 2011/12 season Harju returned to his hometown club Luleå HF in the Elitserien. He was then under contract with Brynäs IF between 2012 and 2014 , before signing a contract with the new Continental Hockey League participant Jokerit in April 2014 . In January 2015 he returned to Luleå HF.
