Bob Teunissen (born October 7, 1981 in Wijchen ) is a former Dutch ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Tilburg Trappers in the Eredivisie until 2015 .

Career

Teunissen first played in 1996 for the second team of the Nijmegen Devils . From 1998 to 2003 he was in the squad of the Eredivisie team and won the double from the Dutch championship and the Dutch cup competition with his team in the 1998/99 season . In the following season he won the championship again with Nijmegen. The Dutchman played for Eaters Geleen in the 2003/04 season before returning to Nijmegen. He stayed there for three years and was again Dutch champions in 2006 with his team. He contributed to this success as the best Dutch player in the Eredivisie. For the 2007/08 season, Teunissen moved to the Tilburg Trappers , with whom he immediately won the championship and cup double. After the 2008/09 season, the center left the Trappers and signed with the Eindhoven Kemphanen , for whom he played until 2013 and with whom he has been team captain since then.

In June 2013 he returned to the Trappers, with whom he was again Dutch champion and cup winner in 2014 and 2015. Then he ended his career.

International

For the Dutch national team , Teunissen took part in the junior division of the U20 Junior D World Championships in 1999 , 2000 and 2001 .

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 2002 , 2003 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 and 2011 . He also played three games in qualifying for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver . From 2009 to 2011 he was team captain of the Netherlands.
