Grzegorz Pasiut (born May 7, 1987 in Nowy Targ ) is a Polish ice hockey player who has been under contract with GKS Katowice in the Ekstraliga since 2018 .

Career

Club

Grzegorz Pasiut began his career in the youth department of the KTH Krynica , for which he made his debut in the Ekstraliga at the age of 16 . In 2005 he moved to KS Cracovia in Krakow . With the team from the Lesser Poland capital, he was Polish national champion in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2011 . After the fourth championship title he moved on to GKS Tychy , for which he played for two years. In 2013 he moved back to his parent club KTH Krynica, which had returned from the I league to the Ekstraliga that year . After this got into financial problems, Pasiut dissolved his contract there and went to the JKH GKS Jastrzębie . With the team from the border town to the Czech Republic, he finished third in the table. He then returned to Krakow, where he was again on the ice for KS Cracovia, with which he was again national champion and cup winner for the first time in 2016 . He then moved to Belarus, where he played for HK Njoman Hrodna in the extra league and became Belarusian champions with the club in 2017 and 2018 . In 2018 he returned to Poland and now plays for GKS Katowice .

International

For Poland, Pasiut took part in Division I of the U18 World Championships in 2004 and 2005 , when he was the top scorer of the tournament, as well as the U20 World Championships in 2005 , 2006 , when he had the best plus / minus balance of the tournament, and 2007 part.

He made his debut in the men's national team at the Division I games of the 2007 World Cup . In the following years, Pasiut represented his colors in the Division I tournaments of the World Championships in 2008 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 when he was voted the best player of his team, in 2016 and 2017 . He also played for Poland in the Olympic qualification for the Games in Sochi 2014 and Pyeongchang 2018 .
