Gorka Echevarria (born June 8, 1983 ) is a former Spanish ice hockey player who was under contract with various clubs in the Spanish Super League .

Career

Gorka Echevarria began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth of CH Gasteiz , for whose first team he played in the Spanish Super League from 2004 to 2005 . The attacker then played two seasons for league rivals CH Txuri Urdin before returning to Vitoria-Gasteiz for a year in the summer of 20078. After playing for the CG Puigcerdà in 2008/09 , with whom he won the Spanish Cup , and in 2009/10 for the second time for the CH Txuri Urdin, he returned to the CH Gasteiz in 2011, where he ended his career in 2012.

International

For Spain, Echevarria took part in the junior division of the U18 world championships of the European division 1 in 2000 and the U18 world championships of division III in 2001 as well as the U20 world championships of division III in 2001 and 2002 and division II in 2003 .

In the senior division, the Basque was part of the Spaniards' squad at the Division II World Championships in 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , 2009 and 2010 . He also represented his colors in qualifying for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver .
