The CD Hielo Bipolo Vitoria - Gasteiz was a Spanish ice hockey club from Vitoria-Gasteiz , which last played in the super league between 2011 and 2014 . The greatest success in the club's history was winning the Spanish championship in 2013.
history
The CH Gasteiz, which was founded in 1975, was inducted into the Superliga , the highest Spanish ice hockey league , in the same year . After their first season in the super league, they initially stopped playing in the senior division for a year before returning to the first division in the 1977/78 season, where they played until relegation in 1982. As second division champions, the Basques immediately returned to the first division in 1983, in which they have been playing since then, only interrupted from 1986 to 1988, when the league did not take place for financial reasons, and from 2005 to 2007, when the team made its senior team withdrew from the Super League to concentrate on roller hockey. The most successful season in the club's history is the 2012/13 season , when the Basques won the Spanish title for the first time by beating CG Puigcerdà in the playoff final . In the following season, the team managed to defend their title and also win the Copa del Rey .
After these successes, the game was stopped in 2014.
