Marian Csorich (born December 1, 1979 in Gdansk ) is a former Polish ice hockey player who celebrated his greatest successes at KS Cracovia in Krakow and was most recently under contract with GKS Tychy in the Ekstraliga until 2013 . His grandfather Stefan Csorich was also a Polish national ice hockey player.

Career

Marian Csorich began his career as an ice hockey player in Sosnowiec , where he played with Olimpia in the East European Hockey League in 1996/97 . After a year at KS Cracovia , in whose second team he played in the second class I league , he returned to Sosnowiec in 1998 and also played for the team of the Polish Association's ice hockey academy in the I league. He then moved to the United States for two years, where he was on the ice first with the Bismarck Bobcats in the America West Hockey League and then for the Texas teams of the San Antonio Iguanas and the Border City Bandits in the Central Hockey League . In 2001 he returned to Poland and played in quick succession for the KTH Krynica , the parent club of his grandfather Stefan , Podhale Nowy Targ and the TKH Toruń . In 2004 he rejoined KS Cracovia. With the traditional club from Krakow he won the Polish championship title in 2006, 2008 and 2009 . In 2010 he moved to GKS Tychy , where he ended his career in 2013.

International

For Poland , Csorich took part in the junior division at the U18 B European Championships in 1996 and 1997 . In the senior sector, he was only more than a decade later, at the age of over 30, in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2010 and 2012 .
