David Morrison (born April 2, 1980 in Belfast , Northern Ireland , United Kingdom ) is a former Northern Irish ice hockey player who last played until 2013 in the second team of the Belfast Giants in the Scottish National League . Internationally he played for the Irish national ice hockey team . His brother Mark was also an Irish national ice hockey player.

Career

David Morrison first played for the Belfast Giants from his hometown in the Elite Ice Hockey League , of which he was team captain from 2004 to 2007. In 2006 he and his team won the main round of the league and thus the British championship . 2007 moved to the Republic of Ireland to the newly founded Dundalk Bulls from the Irish Ice Hockey League . There, too, he acted as team captain and was Irish national champion in 2008 with his team. From 2011 to 2013 he was again under contract with the Belfast Giants, but was used in their second team, which competed in the Scottish National League .

International

The British citizen Morrison played for Ireland in the World Championships of Division II in 2008 and 2011 and Division III in 2004 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2010 , 2012 and 2013 .
