The Dundalk Bulls were an Irish ice hockey club from Dundalk that was founded in 2007 and played in the Irish Ice Hockey League until 2010 .
history
The Dundalk Bulls were founded in 2007 to mark the founding of the Irish Ice Hockey League and won the Irish championship in their first season . In the final, the Dublin Rams were beaten 6-3. As national champions, the Dundalk Bulls took part in the IIHF Continental Cup 2008/09 . In the first qualifying round, which was played in Novi Sad, Serbia , the Bulls had to compete against the hosts and eventual group winners HK Novi Sad , KHL Mladost Zagreb from Croatia and HK Slawia Sofia from Bulgaria and were eliminated as third in the group. On September 21, 2008 Dundalk drove a 6: 4 (2: 0, 2: 3, 2: 1) over Slavia Sofia his first European Cup victory.
In 2010 the team's venue, the Dundalk Ice Dome , was closed and the Bulls stopped playing.
