The HK PFC Slavia Sofia is the hockey department of the Bulgarian Sports Club PFC Slavia Sofia in Sofia that the Bulgarian Hockey League belongs. The venue of HK Slawia Sofia is the Slawia Ice Stadium .
history
The association was founded in 1919 under the name NFD Slavija Sofia . After the club started as DSO Strojitel Sofia from 1949 to 1951 and then for six years as HK Udarnik Sofia , it has been called HK Slavia Sofia since 1957 . With 20 championships won, Slavia Sofia is Bulgaria's record champion. In addition, the team was runner-up twelve times and won the national cup competition twelve times. Most recently, Slavia won the double of championship and cup win in 2008 and 2009, with the championship winning against HK CSKA Sofia . As Bulgarian representative, Slavia took part in the IIHF Continental Cup several times , in which it never got beyond the second round.
