Diederick Hagemeijer (born September 21, 1988 in Eindhoven ) is a former Dutch ice hockey player who spent most of his career with the Tilburg Trappers , with whom he last played in the German Oberliga Nord .

Career

Clubs

Diederick Hagemeijer began his career as an ice hockey player with the Tilburg Trappers , for whom he played as a teenager and made his debut in the honor division when he was only 16 . After winning the Dutch ice hockey cup in 2006 with the team from North Brabant and the Dutch championship title in 2007, he moved across the pond to the United States Hockey League , the most important US youth league , for two years , where he played for the Tri-City Storm . In 2009 he moved back to the Netherlands and joined the Eindhoven Kemphanen from his hometown. A year later he returned to his home club in Tilburg. With the Trappers, whose team captain he was from 2011 to 2013, he was again the Netherlands' cup winner in 2011 and 2013. In 2013 he received the Frans-Henricks-Pokal as the most valuable player in the honor division. In 2014 he and his team were able to win their 14th championship title and cup victory. For himself it was the second championship title after 2007 and the fourth cup victory. Also in 2015 he won the double with the Trappers. He then moved to the German Oberliga Nord with the Trappers and won the Oberliga championship in 2016 and 2017 . After the second league championship title, he ended his career.

International

Hagemeijer participated with the Dutch team at the U-18 World Championships in 2005 and 2006 and the U-20 World Championships in 2006 , 2007 and 2008 in Division II.

With the men's national team of his country he took part in the World Championships of Division I in 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 and 2015 . In 2012 he was elected to the All-Star Team of Group B of Division I, he was the third-best scorer of the tournament behind the two Poles Marcin Kolusz and Leszek Laszkiewicz and also top scorer with five goals. He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournaments for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and 2018 in Pyongchang .
