Alper Solak (born October 16, 1989 in Ankara ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Gümüş Patenler SK in the Turkish Super League since 2015 .

Career

Alper Solak began his career as a hockey player with Büyükşehir Belediyesi Ankara SK in his hometown, for which he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in the 2003/04 season . In 2006 he moved to local competitor Başkent Yıldızları SK , which he left after two years to move to the Ankara Police Academy club , with which he became Turkish national champion in 2009 . He then moved to the capital's university sports club, with which he again won the Turkish title in 2010. In 2011 Solak returned to Başkent and won his national titles number three and four with the club in 2012 and 2013. Despite these successes, he left the club in the summer of 2013 and moved to the second division club Buz Korsanlar , for whom he was on the ice for two years. In 2015 he returned to the super league, where he plays for Gümüş Patenler SK .

International

For Turkey, Solak took part in the junior division III in the U18 World Championships in 2004 , 2005 , 2006 and 2007 as well as the U20 World Championships in 2005 , 2006 , 2007 and 2008 .

The striker played with the men's national team at the World Championships in Division II in 2007 , 2010 , 2013 and 2014 and in the World Championships in Division III in 2006 , 2008 , 2009 , 2011 , 2012 and 2015 . He was also on the ice for the team from the Bosporus in qualifying for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver .
