Manfred Riegger

Manfred Riegger (* 1967 in Hechingen ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian , holds a doctorate in religious education and retired university professor .

Life

Riegger studied at the University of Tübingen and at the University of California, Berkeley Catholic theology before 1992 after Benediktbeuern moved to where his theological studies at the Theological Philosophy University Benediktbeuern complete and also the social education at the Catholic Foundation University of Applied Sciences Department Benediktbeuern turn . In 1995 he obtained his theological diploma there and the social pedagogical diploma the following year .

He worked as a research assistant at the University of Augsburg and as a religion teacher in Benediktbeuern while he was working on his doctorate . He did his habilitation for his habilitation in catechetics, religious education and didactics of Catholic religious instruction in 2006, also in Benediktbeuern (reviewers: Jacques Schepens, Fritz Weidmann and Ehrenfried Schulz ). He was then appointed as a private lecturer and in 2012 as an adjunct professor . He taught at the University of Augsburg . From 2014 to 2017 he represented the chair for religious education and didactics of religious education at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich , who was succeeded by the young scientist Helena Stockinger in the winter semester 2017/18.

Among other things, Riegger dealt with the teaching of theology in schools as well as the playful teaching of theological topics, especially in primary and secondary schools.
