Petr Gřegořek (born May 25, 1978 in Český Těšín , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey player who played for many years with HC Oceláři Třinec , HC České Budějovice , HC Energie Karlovy Vary , HC Sparta Prague and the Bílí Tygři Liberec in the Czech extra league under was active.
Career
Petr Gřegořek began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of HC Slezan Opava . From there he moved to HC Vítkovice during the 1995/96 season , for which he was active in the U20 extra league for the next one and a half years. He also made his debut for the professional team Vítkovices in the extra league in the 1996/97 season . There he remained pointless and punished in three games. The defender spent the following five years at league rivals HC Oceláři Třinec , with whom he only failed in the 1998 playoff final at HC Petra Vsetín . He started the 2002/03 season at HC České Budějovice and ended it after a brief engagement with Bílí Tygři Liberec at his ex-club from Třinec.
For the 2003/04 season Gřegořek signed a contract abroad for the first time when he was on the ice for Molot-Prikamje Perm in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division. Subsequently, he returned to the extra league to Vsetínská hokejová and ended the season at HC České Budějovice from the second-class 1st division , with which he achieved promotion. He then stayed with the club for the next five years before he was committed to the newly founded KHL participant HK Budiwelnik Kiev for the 2010/11 season . Since this did not take up the game, Gřegořek looked for a new club and found it in HC Energie Karlovy Vary . For HC Energie he played in the Extraliga until November 2012 before he was transferred to HC Sparta Prague . Another year later he moved from Sparta back to the Bílí Tygři Liberec, where he ended his career in 2015.
International
For the Czech Republic , Gřegořek took part in the 2010 World Cup in Germany , where he and his team won the world championship. He was also in his country's squad for the Euro Hockey Tour in 2010 and 2011 .
