David Huxley (born February 4, 1988 in Adelaide , South Australia ) is an Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Adelaide Blackhawks in the Ice Hockey South Australia Premier League since 2018.

Career

David Huxley began his career as a hockey player in his hometown of Adelaide , where he was initially under contract for Adelaide Avalanche in the Australian Ice Hockey League . With the team he won the VIP Cup in 2007 as the main winner of the AIHL . When the club stopped playing after the 2008 season due to financial difficulties, Huxley first interrupted his club career. It was not until the 2010 season that he joined the successor club Adelaide Adrenaline , for which he played until 2017. Before the 2018 season he was nominated for the AIHL All-Star Team. He then moved to the Adelaide Blackhawks in the lower class Ice Hockey South Australia Premier League.

International

For Australia , Huxley took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championships 2005 in Division III and 2006 in Division II as well as the U20 World Championships 2006 and 2007 in Division II and 2008 in Division III.

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2009 and in the World Championships in Division II in 2010 , 2011 , 2013 , 2015 and 2016 .
