Juan José Martin (born May 11, 1981 in Vitoria-Gasteiz ) is a former Spanish ice hockey player who was under contract for most of his career at CH Jaca in the Spanish Super League .

Career

Juan José Martin began his career as a hockey player with CH Jaca , for whose first team he made his debut in the Spanish Super League in the 1998/99 season . In 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2010 and 2011 he became Spanish champions with the club . In 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2011 he also won the Copa del Rey , the Spanish national cup. After the third double win, he left the Aragonese and moved to his hometown, where he was on the ice for CH Gasteiz during the 2011/12 season. After only one year he returned to Jaca and won the cup competition with the CH Jaca again in 2013 and his seventh Spanish championship in 2015 at the end of his career.

International

For Spain, Martin took part in the junior division of the U18-D European Championships in 1997 and 1998 and the U18 World Championship of European Division 2 in 1999 as well as the U20-D World Championships in 1998 , 1999 and 2000 and the U20 World Championship of Division 3 in 2001 .

In the senior sector, he was initially in the D-World Championship in 1999 and the C-World Championship in 2000 in the Spanish squad . After switching to the current division system, he played at the World Championships in Division II in 2001 , 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2005 and 2010 , when the Spaniards were promoted to Division I for the first time.
