Kockelscheuer ( Luxembourgish Kockelscheier ) is a village in the municipality of Roeser . Kockelscheuer has 248 inhabitants and is located in the Luxembourg canton of Esch / Alzette .
The place enjoys nationwide fame through its sports facilities. The Luxembourg Open has been held every year since 1991 at Camping Kockelscheuer Sport-Center as part of the WTA women's tennis tour . In addition, the approximately 1,000-seat was Patinoire de Kockelscheuer in the years 2008 , 2010 and 2014 venue of Hockey World Cup tournaments Division III of Lords.
