Career
Maxim Suschinski began his career in 1992 in the Russian first division with SKA Saint Petersburg . In 1996 the striker moved to the Russian club HK Awangard Omsk , where he played until 2005 and won the Russian championship in 2004. In the 2000 NHL Entry Draft , the Minnesota Wild selected him in the fifth round in 132nd place. In the 2000/01 season , Suschinski completed 30 games for Minnesota Wild and scored seven goals. In 2005 he was signed by the Russian first division club HK Dynamo Moscow for one season. The striker was under contract with his next club SKA Saint Petersburg from 2006 to 2011. In July 2011, Suschinski moved to Salawat Julajew Ufa . There, his contract was dissolved in November 2011 after six goals and ten assists in 25 games, whereupon he switched to league rivals HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk a little later . For Metallurg, he completed 35 KHL games before he left the club at the end of the season. Then there was speculation about the end of Suschinski's career. Only in February 2013 did he get a contract with Friborg-Gottéron until the end of the season .
Suschinski has been President of HK Awangard Omsk since 2018.
