The team captains were again the Czech Jaromír Jágr from HK Awangard Omsk for the world selection and the Russian Alexei Jashin from SKA Saint Petersburg for the team Russia.

Before the actual All-Star Game, the KHL All-Star Skills Competition took place, in which the players competed against each other in various categories and put their skills to the test.

Selection of participants

The six players, who each formed the starting line-up of their teams, were selected by the fans themselves via the KHL website.
