KHL All-Star Game 2011

The third edition of the All-Star Game of the Continental Hockey League ( Russian Матч Всех Звёзд Континентальной Хоккейной Лиги ) took place on January 5, 2011 in the ice rink in Saint Petersburg . Team Jágr prevailed against Team Jashin with 18:16.

format

In contrast to the previous year, the format was changed. At the All-Star Game 2011, a selection of players from the Western Conference met a selection of players from the Eastern Conference. As in the two previous events, the team captains were the Czech Jaromír Jágr from HK Awangard Omsk (for the selection of the Eastern Conference ) and the Russian Alexei Jashin from the SKA Saint Petersburg (for the selection of the Western Conference ).

Before the actual All-Star Game, the KHL All-Star Skills Competition took place, in which the players competed against each other in various categories and put their skills to the test.

Selection of participants

Each of the two teams consisted of two goalkeepers, six defenders and nine forwards. The six players, who each formed the starting line-up of their teams, were selected by the fans themselves via the KHL website. The remaining players per team were selected by media representatives and the KHL league management.

Game statistics

The third KHL All-Star Game took place on January 5th, 2011 in the ice rink arena in Saint Petersburg . The game saw a total of 10,127 spectators. The selection of the Eastern Conference around Jaromir Jágr defeated the selection of the Western Conference led by Alexei Jashin in an extremely high-scoring game with 18:16.
