The defender then played for one year each for Krylja Sowetow Moscow in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, and Metallurg Novokuznetsk in the super league. From 2001 to 2004 he was under contract with the second division club Vitjas Chekhov , where he ended the 2002/03 season at the Belarusian club HK Chimwolokno Mahiljou in the East European Hockey League .

From 2004 to 2007 Solovyov ran on for the HK MWD Tver , with whom he rose straight away as the second division champion in the super league in the 2004/05 season. In the following season he failed with his team only in the playoff final for the Gagarin Cup at Ak Bars Kazan . Then the HK MWD Balaschicha was merged with the HK Dynamo Moscow and the Russian received a contract for the 2010/11 season with their successor team OHK Dynamo .

With Dynamo he won the Gagarin Cup in 2012 and 2013 .

In April 2018, at the age of 39, he ended his career and was to become a coach for Dynamo's junior team MHK Dynamo from the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga (MHL).
