Alexander Wiktorowitsch Kutuzov ( Russian Александр Викторович Кутузов ; born November 23, 1985 in Kalinin , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Spartak Moscow in the Continental Hockey League since May 2019 .

Career

Alexander Kutuzov (2012)

Alexander Kutuzov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at HK MWD Tver , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division, in the 2002/03 season . In the 2004/05 season, the defender rose as a second division champion with his team in the super league . For the 2007/08 season the HK MWD was relocated to Balaschikha and the Russian stayed with the club for a year after the relocation. The 2008/09 season he began at Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk in the newly formed Continental Hockey League . After only four games he left Neftechimik again and then played for their league rivals HK Sibir Novosibirsk . He improved his offensive game from year to year and became a national player in the 2013/14 season.

By the end of the 2013/14 season, Kutuzov had over 300 KHL games for HK Sibir. He was then committed to Salawat Yulayev Ufa for two years in May 2014 . Halfway through the contract, Salawat Julajew exchanged him for the transfer rights to Andreas Engqvist and Nikolai Prochorkin , which HK CSKA Moscow held. Kutusin played at CSKA until the end of the 2016/17 season and completed 84 KHL games in which he collected 18 points.

Kutuzov has been playing for Lokomotive Yaroslavl since November 2017 .

International

During the 2013/14 season, Kutuzov made his debut in the jersey of the Russian national team and was used, among other things, in the Euro Hockey Tour . At the men's ice hockey world championship in 2014 , he won the gold medal with the national team and contributed 3 scorer points in 10 World Cup games to this success. For this success, Kutuzov received the Order of Honor .
