Denis Sergejewitsch Kokarew ( Russian Денис Сергеевич Кокарев ; born June 17, 1985 in Kalinin , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Spartak Moscow in the Continental Hockey League since 2019 .

Career

Denis Kokarew began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at THK Tver , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Vysschaya League , the second division of Russia, in the 2003/04 season . With his team, which changed its name to HK MWD Tver after the season, the attacker rose in the 2004/05 season as second division champions in the super league . After the HK MWD was relocated to Balaschicha following the 2006/07 season, he stayed in the club and took part with his team in the newly established Continental Hockey League from the 2008/09 season .

With the HK MWD he was defeated by Kokarew in the 2009/10 season Ak Bars Kazan only in the final of the playoffs for the Gagarin Cup . After the season, the HK MWD was merged with the HK Dynamo Moscow and the left-handed shooter received a contract for the 2010/11 season with their successor team OHK Dynamo .

In July 2017, Dynamo Moscow's contracts with 42 players were canceled by the KHL due to the club's heavy debt. Kokarew received no new contract offer and decided to move to Salawat Yulayev Ufa . After 23 games for Salawat, Kokarew was given to HK CSKA Moscow as part of a player swap, which in turn gave him to HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk .

Kokarew has been under contract with HK Vitjas Podolsk since May 2018 .

• 2005 Wysschaja Liga champion and promotion to the super league with HK MWD Tver
• 2010 Russian runner-up with the HK MWD Balaschicha
• 2012 Gagarin Cup win with the OHK Dynamo
