Jean-Louis Pezant

Jean-Louis Pezant (born October 5, 1938 in Dun-le-Palestel , France , † July 24, 2010 ) was a French judge .

Pezant, who graduated from the Institut d'études politiques de Paris , has held various positions in the French National Assembly since 1966 , of which he was Secretary General between 2002 and 2003. On February 27, 2004 he was nominated for the post of member of the Constitutional Council by the then President of the National Assembly, Jean-Louis Debré . From his appointment for a nine-year term on March 10, 2004 until his death in July 2010, he was a member of the Constitutional Council of the French Republic.
