Ilya Igorewitsch Subow ( Russian Илья Игоревич Зубов ; born February 14, 1987 in Chelyabinsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Spartak Moscow in the Continental Hockey League since May 2018 .
Career
Ilya Zubov began his career as a hockey player in the youth of the HK tractor Chelyabinsk , for whose professional team he was active from 2002 to 2005 in the second-rate Wysschaja Liga . At the same time, he took part in the third-class Perwaja League with Traktor's second team . Then the attacker was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2005 in the fourth round as a total of 98th player by the Ottawa Senators . First, however, he stayed in Russia, where he was in the 2005/06 season for HK Spartak Moscow in the Super League on the ice, as well as in the following season for their league rivals Chimik Moskowskaja Oblast and Salawat Julajew Ufa .
In the summer of 2007 Subow was appointed by the Ottawa Senators to North America , where he played a total of eleven games, in which he gave two assists, for Ottawa in the National Hockey League in the following two seasons . However, he spent most of the two years in their farm team from the American Hockey League , the Binghamton Senators . In October 2009 he returned to Russia and was signed by Salawat Julajew Ufa.
In January 2010, he moved to HK CSKA Moscow in exchange for Pyotr Stschastliwy and completed over 180 KHL games for the army sports club in the following four years. In December 2013, he and Michail Naumenkow moved to Admiral Vladivostok in exchange for Enwer Lissin . In the 2014/15 season he was captaincy at Admiral and impressed with 35 points from 51 games. He was then hired by HK Awangard Omsk in May 2015 , for which he was active for two years.
In the 2017/18 season he played again for Salawat Julajew Ufa, then from May 2018 he was under contract with Spartak Moscow, where he had already played in the 2005/06 season.
International
For Russia , Subow took part in the U18 Junior World Championships in 2005 and the U20 Junior World Championships in 2006 and 2007 .
