Michael McShane (born June 25, 1955 in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American film actor .

Life

Michael McShane, the son of a soldier of the United States Army grew in Roeland Park ( Kansas ) a small town on the border with the US state of Missouri on. He graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in Johnson County (Kansas) before moving to San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton ( California ).

McShane began his career as an improvisational comedian at an impromptu theater in Berkeley, California. In the early 1990s he moved to England, from where he advanced his career as a film actor. That is why he is often mistakenly called British. His first well-known film was the 1991 film Robin Hood - King of Thieves , in which he was seen as Brother Tuck . Three years later, in 1994, he was one of the main characters in the film comedy Richie Rich alongside Macaulay Culkin . His favorite roles are mostly funny and clumsy characters. In addition to guest appearances in television series, for example in 2000 in Hinterm Mond immediately left or in 2005 in Malcolm in the middle , McShane also worked as a voice actor for radio plays or animated films; most recently in 2007 in There was never a fairytale land .
