Gökhun Öztürk (born December 16, 1985 in İzmit ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Zeytinburnu Belediye SK in the Turkish Super League since 2014 .

Career

Gökhun Öztürk began his career as a hockey player at İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK , for whom he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in the 2001/02 season . In 2004 he left the club and moved to league rivals Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kağıt SK . With the team from his hometown İzmit he won the Turkish championship in 2007 . With the exception of the 2010/11 season , when he played for the university sports club Ankara , he remained with the team until 2014 and then moved to Zeytinburnu Belediye SK , for whom he has played since then. In 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 he became Turkish champions with the club .

International

For Turkey, Öztürk took part in the junior division in the U18 World Championships in 2002 and 2003 and in the U20 World Championships in 2003 , 2003 and 2005 in Division III. With the Turkish student selection he took part in the 2011 Winter Universiade in Erzurum .

He played with the men's national team at the World Championships in Division II in 2005 , 2007 , 2010 , 2013 and 2017 as well as in the World Championships in Division III in 2003 , 2004 , 2006 , 2009 , 2015 and 2016 . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver .
