Brian Baxter Arroyo López (born February 24, 1985 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Lerma Estado Ice Sharks in the Liga Mexicana Elite since 2012 .

Career

Brian Baxter Arroyo López began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of Druzhba-78 Kharkiv, for which he was active in Ukraine from 2001 to 2004. From 2005 to 2008, the defender played for San Jeronimo in his Mexican homeland before playing for Luja HT Huittinen and Imatran Ketterä for a season in Suomi-sarja , the third division in Finland . 2010/11 he joined the HK Kompanjon-Naftohas Kiev in the 2010/11 season in the Ukrainian ice hockey league before returning to his Mexican homeland, where he was initially on the ice for the Puebla Talaveros in the semi-professional Liga Mexicana Elite . In 2013 he moved to league competitor Lerma Estado Ice Sharks .

International

For Mexico , Arroyo López took part in the World Championships of Division II in 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 and 2016 , when he was the second best scorer behind their compatriot with eight goals together with the Australians Cameron Todd and Mitchell Humphries Woe Darge was part. In 2013 he was named the best striker in Group B of Division II and the best player on his team. He also took part in the Olympic qualifications for the Games in Vancouver 2010 , Sochi 2014 and Pyeongchang 2018 , in which the Mexican team was eliminated in the pre-qualification. He was also on the ice at the Pan-American ice hockey tournaments in 2014, 2015 and 2016, in which he and his team took second place.
