Cameron Todd (born July 21, 1994 in Sydney ) is an Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Sydney Ice Dogs in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2018 . In the Australian summer half of the year he has played for the University of Jamestown team in the American Collegiate Hockey Association since 2016.

Career

Cameron Todd began his career as a hockey player in the East Coast Super League , a youth league in New South Wales , where he was on the ice for the ESCL Heat and the Reach Rebels. From 2013 to 2017 he played with the Sydney Bears in his hometown in the Australian Ice Hockey League . In his inaugural season he was named Rookie of the Year in the AIHL. Since 2018 he has been under contract with local rivals Sydney Ice Dogs .

In the southern hemisphere summer 2014/15, he also played in the United States for the San Diego Gulls in the Western States Hockey League , whose team captain he was immediately appointed. In 2015/16 he played for Nacka HK in the Swedish Division 2 , the fourth-highest division in the Scandinavian country, and was promoted to Division 1 with the club . He then moved to the University of Jamestown and has since played for their team for the championship of the American Collegiate Hockey Association .

International

For Australia , Todd first took part in the U18 Junior World Championship of Division III 2011 in the junior division and achieved promotion to Division II at the tournament in Taipei , to which he had contributed significantly with 14 scorer points (six goals and eight preparations). In Division II, he then played with his team at the U-18 World Junior Championship in 2012 . He then played at the U20 Junior World Championships Division II in 2013 and 2014 .

In the men's area he was for the first time at the World Championships of Division II 2013 in his country's squad and scored a goal in 2–3 after penalty shoot-out against Iceland and in 4–1 against Spain . Also in 2014 , 2015 , 2016 , when he and his compatriot Wehebe Darge were the best assists of the tournament and behind him also the second best scorer as well as with his compatriot Mitchell Humphries and the Mexican Brian Baxter Arroyo López also the second best scorer behind Darge, in 2017 and 2018 he played for his colors in Division II.
