Tomaž Razingar (born April 25, 1979 in Jesenice , SR Slovenia ) is a former Slovenian national ice hockey player , who played for HK Jesenice , HC Innsbruck and EC VSV in the Austrian ice hockey league for many years and scored 222 points in 288 games collected.

Career

Tomaž Razingar began his career at his home club HK Jesenice and established himself as a regular at the club early on. In 1999 he tried his first abroad and moved to the Newmarket Hurricanes in the Ontario Junior Hockey League , but returned home that same season. The following year he tried again and joined the Peoria Rivermen from the East Coast Hockey League , for which he ran for two seasons. However, he was denied a major career in the North American top leagues.

After two more years in Jesenice, where he was top scorer and top scorer in the Slovenian league in 2003 , he was signed by the Czech club HC Pardubice , where he was unable to establish himself and returned to Jesenice after several attempts. With his home club, he not only won several Slovenian champions but also won the Interliga in 2005 and 2006 , of which he was the top scorer in 2005. Only in the 2007/08 season did he complete a full season abroad and played for HC Innsbruck in the Austrian ice hockey league , where his contract - like that of most other transfer card players - was not extended after the end of the season. The following season he completed again at HK Jesenice. It was not until halfway through the 2009/10 season that he was signed by the Italian first division club HC Pustertal , where he ended the season.

In 2010 the Austrian club EC VSV signed him. In his first year with his new club, he scored 35 goals in a total of 64 games in the 2010/11 season , including 14 goals. In 2012 he was no longer obliged by the EC VSV and moved to the 2nd German Bundesliga to the Ravensburg Towerstars . After five games in the Inter-National League , Razingar received a trial contract with IF Troja-Ljungby from the Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan in November 2013 . In 2014 he moved to HC Dukla Trenčín in the Slovak extra league .

In September 2015 he ended his career after 20 years in professional hockey.

International

For Slovenia , Razingar took part in the junior division at the U18 Junior C European Championship in 1996 , when he was named the best striker of the tournament, the U18 Junior B European Championship in 1997 and the U20 Junior C World Championships in 1995 , 1996 , 1997 and 1999 part.

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 1999 B World Cup , the Division I World Championships 2004 , 2007 , when he was not only the top goalscorer of the tournament, but also had the best plus / minus balance, 2009 , 2010 , when he achieved the best plus / minus balance of the tournament in 2012 and 2014 as well as at the World Championships in the top division in 2002 , 2003 , 2005 , 2006 , 2008 , 2011 , 2013 and 2015 . Since the 2010 World Cup, he was the team captain of Slovenia.

He also represented his colors in the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Winter Games in 2006 , 2010 and 2014 as well as the Games in Sochi itself, in which the Slovenes achieved a surprising seventh place.
