The 2004/05 season of the Interliga was the sixth staging of the ice hockey championship designed as the successor to the Alpine League and was played with a total of six teams from three countries. Defending champion was the team Podhale Nowy Targ from Poland, which however no longer participated in the league. A participant from Slovenia became the new champion for the third time with HK Jesenice .

Participant and mode

The field of participants shrank to six teams after the last season, as the three Polish teams ended their participation after only one season. The rest of the field remained unchanged.

The mode had hardly changed compared to the previous year. In the basic round, however, due to the small number of participants, a double round trip was played, which resulted in a total of twenty rounds. This was followed by playoffs with quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals, with the quarter-finals as best-of-three and the rest as best-of-five series. However, the quarter-finals consisted of only two series, in which the teams in ranks three to six participated, which determined the two remaining participants in the semifinals in this way.
