Viktor Tokaji ( Hungarian Tokaji Viktor ; born January 11, 1977 in Dunaújváros ) is a former Hungarian ice hockey player who spent most of his career with Dunaferr SE Dunaújváros and Alba Volán Székesfehérvár .
Career
Viktor Tokaji began his career as a hockey player in the youth of Dunaferr SE Dunaújváros , for whose professional team he was active in the Hungarian ice hockey league from 1994 to 2006 . During this time, the defender won the national championship four times and the national cup eight times with his team. Furthermore, the left shooter was six times runner-up with Dunaferr SE Dunaújváros. For the 2006/07 season, the Hungarian finally moved to the Huddinge IK in the second-rate Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan , which he left again after the season.
In the summer of 2007 Tokaji returned to his Hungarian homeland, where he signed a contract with Alba Volán Székesfehérvár , for which he has since been on the ice in the Austrian ice hockey league . At the same time he plays for Alba Volán in the playoffs of the Hungarian ice hockey league and was Hungarian champion with his team in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. In 2015 he moved to the Hungarian capital club MAC Budapest , which was newly admitted to the Hungarian-Romanian MOL League , where he ended his career in 2016.
International
For Hungary, Tokaji took part in the junior division of the U18 Junior B European Championships in 1993 , 1994 and 1995 and the U20 Junior C World Championship in 1995 .
In the senior sector he was in his country's squad at the C-World Championships in 1995 , 1996 , 1997 , 1998 and 2000 , at the B-World Championships in 1999 , at the World Championships of Division I in 2001 , 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 and 2014 as well as at the 2009 Top Division World Cup . He also took part in the qualifying tournaments for the 2006 , 2010 and 2014 Olympic Winter Games .
At the 2015 World Cup in Division I, he was unable to play due to injury and was instead appointed to the Magyar staff by coach Rich Chernomaz . At the beginning of February 2016 he announced his resignation from the Hungarian national team.
