Peter van Biezen (born March 1, 1983 in Tilburg ) is a Dutch ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Tilburg Trappers in the Eredivisie since 1998 . His older brother John is also a Dutch ice hockey player.

Career

Peter van Biezen first played in 1998 for the second team of the Tilburg Trappers in the second Dutch division. From 2000 to 2015 he was in the professional squad of the Eredivisie team and during this time won five championships (2001, 2007, 2008, 2014 and 2015) and seven times the Dutch cup competition (2001, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015) ). From 2009 to 2011 and 2012/13 he was assistant captain of his team and was named the best Dutch player in the Eredivisie in the 2010/11 season . In the 2013/14 season , he recorded the most assists in the honor division. He has been playing with the team in the German Oberliga Nord since 2015 and won the German Oberliga championship in 2016. As a Dutch team, however, the Trappers were denied promotion to the DEL2 .

International

For the Netherlands, van Biezen took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championships of the European Division II in 1999 and 2000 and the U18 World Championship of Division III in 2001 as well as the U20 D World Championship 2000 , the U20 World Championship of Division III 2001 and the U20 -World Championship Division II 2002 participated.

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2002 , 2003 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 , 2012 and 2015 .
