Csaba Nagy (born August 24, 1984 in Gheorgheni ) is a Hungarian - Romanian ice hockey player who has been under contract at ASC Corona 2010 Brașov in the Romanian ice hockey league and the multinational MOL league since 2009 (with a short break around the turn of the year 2017/18) .

Career

Club

Csaba Nagy, who belongs to the Hungarian-speaking Szekler minority , began his career as a hockey player at Újpesti TE in the Hungarian capital Budapest , for which he made his debut in the Hungarian ice hockey league in 1998 . In 2008 he moved to his hometown for CS Progym Gheorgheni , for which he played in the Romanian league as well as in the multinational MOL league . After only one season he moved on to the ASC Corona 2010 Brașov , for which he has been playing since then, with a short break around the turn of the year 2017/18 when he again played six games for the CS Progym Gheorgheni. With the Kronstadters he was Romanian champion in 2014 and 2017 and cup winner in 2013 and 2015 .

International

In the junior division, Nagy played for the Hungarian U20 team at the 2004 U20 World Cup in Division I.

He later chose Romania and played with the Romanian men's selection at the World Championships of Division I in 2009 , 2012 and 2014 . In 2010 he played with the Romanians in Division II. He also represented Romania in the Olympic qualification for the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi .
