Julian Jakobsen (born April 11, 1987 in Aalborg ) is a Danish ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Aalborg Pirates since June 2016 .

Career

Julian Jakobsen began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of AaB Ishockey , for whose professional team he was active in the AL-Bank Ligaen from 2004 to 2007 . In the 2006/07 season he and his team also won the Danish cup competition. The center then played for two years for league rivals Odense Bulldogs , where he was voted Rookie of the Year in the Danish top division in 2008. In the 2008/09 season he also won the Danish Cup competition with Odense. For the 2009/10 season he was obliged by Södertälje SK from the Swedish Elitserien . With the team he rose in the following season in the second Swedish division, the HockeyAllsvenskan , from, in which he was on the ice for another year for Södertälje.

For the 2012/13 season Jakobsen was signed by the Hamburg Freezers from the German Ice Hockey League . After the Freezers stopped playing in May 2016, Jakobsen returned to his hometown club Aalborg Pirates in the Danish first division.

International

For Denmark , Jakobsen took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championships 2005 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2006 and 2007 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the A-World Championships in 2009 , 2010 , 2011 and 2012 .
