Career

Kim Ju-hyok appeared for the North Korean national team for the first time at the 2010 World Cup in Division III and promptly rose with the team to Division II. Since the North Koreans did not take part in the World Cup the following year for financial reasons, he also played in the lowest division in 2012 and 2014 . In both tournaments, the North Koreans missed promotion to Division II by only one place in second (2012 behind Turkey and 2014 behind Bulgaria ). In 2015 he played with the East Asians again in the lowest division of the World Championships. This time, a 4: 3 win after extra time in the decisive game against hosts Turkey made it into Division II.

At club level, Kim plays for Taesongsan in the North Korean ice hockey league .
