Dániel Fekete ( Hungarian Fekete Dániel ; born February 22, 1982 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian ice hockey player who has been under contract with VEU Feldkirch again since 2012 and has been playing with the club in the Alps Hockey League since 2016 .

Career

Dániel Fekete already played in Austria as a 17-year-old, where he was on the ice at the EC Supergau Feldkirch . After playing at EHC Bregenzerwald until 2002 and again in Feldkirch, where he won the second-class national league in 2002 , he moved to EHC Lustenau , for which he played 31 times in the Austrian ice hockey league , before relegating the club to the national league in 2003 . Shortly before the end of the 2003/04 season, he returned to Feldkirch for three games. After a year at EC Graz 99ers in the ÖEHL, he switched to the national league team Dornbirner EC in 2005 , where he played until 2007. He then left Austria and joined the Trondheim Black Panthers from the Norwegian GET league . When the club from the third largest city in the country was dissolved in 2008 for financial reasons, he returned to his Hungarian homeland and played the following three years with Alba Volán Székesfehérvár in both the Austrian and Hungarian leagues . With Alba Volán he won the Hungarian championship title in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and reached the ÖEHL playoffs in 2010. In 2011 he went back to Austria, where, after a year at Dornbirner EC in the National League, he has been back in the VEU Feldkirch since 2012 in what is now called the Inter-National League , the second highest division. With the Vorarlbergers he won the Austrian Cup, which was held for the first time in 2015 . Since 2016 he has been playing with the club in the new Alps Hockey League .

International

For Hungary, Fekete participated in the junior division in the U18-B-European championship in 1998 , the U18-B-world championship in 1999 and the U18-world championship of the European division I in 2000 as well as the U20-C world championship in 2000 and the U20 world championship of the division II in 2002 part.

In the senior sector, Fekete was in the Hungarian squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 and 2010 . He was also a member of the Hungarian team, which played in the top class of the world championships for the first time in 70 years at the 2009 World Cup, but could not avoid relegation immediately. He also took part in the Olympic qualification for the Games in Turin 2006 and Vancouver 2010 .
