Cho Min-ho (born January 4, 1987 in Seoul ) is a South Korean ice hockey player who has been under contract with Anyang Halla in the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2015 .

Career

Cho Min-ho began his career as a hockey player on the Kyung-gi High School team . At the age of 18, he moved to Korea University for three years . His appearance at the 2008 World Cup , when he scored three of the eight goals for the South Korean team in Division I in his debut tournament, caught the attention of Anyang Halla , one of the two South Korean teams in the Asia League Ice Hockey , but came across him in the first Year not used. Both in 2010, when he was also named the best young player in the league, and in 2011 he was able to win the championship with his team. In 2013 he moved to Daemyung Sangmu , the newly formed third South Korean team in the Asia League Ice Hockey. In the 2014/15 season he was the team's captain. In 2015 he returned to Anyang Halla and won the Asia League again with the team in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and was elected to the league's first team in 2016 .

International

For South Korea, Cho Min-ho took part in the U18 World Championships in 2004 in Division II and in 2005 , when he was the top scorer of the tournament, in Division II. He made his debut in the men's national team at the 2008 World Cup in Division I. He also played in Division I in 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017. At the 2018 World Cup , he played for the first time in the Top division, but couldn't keep the class there.

At the Winter Asian Games 2011 he won the bronze medal with the South Korean team behind Kazakhstan and Japan . Six years later he finished second with the South Koreans behind Kazakhstan at the 2017 Asian Winter Games . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , in which the South Koreans were directly entitled to participate as hosts.
