The 2009/10 season was the seventh season of the Asia League Ice Hockey , the highest East Asian ice hockey division . Anyang Halla became champion for the first time in the club's history .

In the regular season, each of the seven teams played a total of 36 games. The top five teams of the regular season qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played, with the top three teams qualifying directly for the playoff semifinals. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime or shootout, one point for a defeat after overtime or shootout and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
