Mario Novak (born May 8, 1983 in Zagreb , SR Croatia ) is a Croatian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the KHL Mladost Zagreb since 2004 .

Career

Mario Novak began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown at KHL Zagreb , for which he participated in the Croatian ice hockey championship from 2000 to 2004 . Then the attacker moved to the town neighbors KHL Mladost , he for the seasons 2005/06 and 2008/09 in the Slovenian Hockey League aground. In addition, he was Croatian champion for the first time with Mladost in 2008 and won the Pannonian League with the team in the same year . International

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division II in 2004 , 2005 , 2007 , 2011 and 2012 as well as Division I in 2002 , 2006 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 and 2014 . At the 2010 and 2011 World Championships, he was assistant captain and in 2012 team captain of Croatia. He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournaments for the Winter Olympics in Turin in 2006 , in Vancouver in 2010 and in Pyeongchang in 2018 .

Inline hockey

Novak is also internationally active in inline hockey for Croatia. He took part in the 2013 World Cup in Division I with the Croatian national inline hockey team, where he finished fifth with his team.
