Krystian Dziubiński (born May 28, 1988 in Nowy Targ ) is a Polish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Podhale Nowy Targ in the Ekstraliga since 2018 .
Career
Club
Krystian Dziubiński began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth division of the Polish record champions Podhale Nowy Targ . In 2004 he moved across the pond to the United States, where he played in a high school league for the youth team Orchard Lake St. Mary's. From there he went to the Alaska Avalanche from the North American Hockey League in 2006 . A year later he moved within the league to the North Iowa Outlaws.
In 2008 Dziubiński returned to Poland and signed a contract with his home club Podhale Nowy Targ , with which he was able to win the 2010 title in the Ekstraliga . With 18 goals and 20 assists in 44 games, he was instrumental in winning the title . Nevertheless, the striker left his hometown of Minor Poland after the season and switched to league rivals KH Sanok . The change immediately paid off for the team from the Subcarpathian Mountains : The Polish cup competition was won for the first time in 2011 . A year later, Sanok could not only defend this title with Dziubiński, but also win the Polish championship title for the first time in the club's history. After he succeeded in first place in the main round with Sanok in 2013, but the team failed in the semi-finals of the playoffs at the eventual champions KS Cracovia , he switched to Lesser Poland promoted KTH Krynica . After he got into financial difficulties, he returned to Nowy Targ at the end of November 2013. In 2015 he moved to KS Cracovia . With the club from Krakow, he won both the Polish championship in 2016, to which he made a significant contribution as top scorer and top scorer of the playoffs, as well as the cup competition. Also in 2017 he was Polish champion with Cracovia. Since 2018 he has been playing in Nowy Targ again.
International
For Poland, Dziubiński took part in the junior division I of the U18 World Junior Championships in 2005 and 2006 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 2008 .
In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2009 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 , 2017 and 2018 . He also played for Poland in the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014 and in Pyeongchang in 2018 .
