The 1949 season was the 16th season of Serie A1 , the highest Italian ice hockey division . Champion became the third time in the history of the club of HC Diavoli Rossoneri Milano .

mode

In the main round, the league was divided into three groups of three teams each. The first placed in each group qualified for the final round, the first placed champion. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
