List of world champions in grass skiing
The list of world champions in grass skiing provides an overview and statistics of all winners and medalists at world championships in grass skiing .
World Champion
The most successful grass skier is Ingrid Hirschhofer from Austria. From 1979 to 2011 she took part in 16 of 17 world championships, only in 1991 she had to pause because of a torn cruciate ligament . Hirschhofer won 22 gold, 9 silver and 12 bronze medals over a period of 32 years. In second place is the Italian Paola Bazzi , who won 9 gold and 2 silver medals from 1995 to 2001. Jan Němec from the Czech Republic is the most successful among men . From 1999 to 2011 he won 11 gold, 7 silver and 2 bronze medals. This is followed by the Austrian Christian Balek , who won 8 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals from 1995 to 2003.
So far, five athletes have managed to win all competitions at a world championship. In the women’s category, it was Ingrid Hirschhofer in 1993, Paola Bazzi in 1997 and 1999, who was the only one to have succeeded twice, and in 2007 Nadja Vogel . In 1979 Vincent Riewe (at that time still without Super-G) and 1991 Rainer Großmann won all competitions in the men's competition.

The most successful nation so far at the Grasski World Championships is Austria with a total of 122 medals (39 × gold, 39 × silver and 44 × bronze), with Ingrid Hirschhofer winning over a third of the total medals and more than half of the gold medals .
