Jasmin Huber (born March 13, 1995 in Karlsruhe ) is a German grass skier . She won the bronze medal in the super combined at the 2011 World Cup . She was also junior world champion in slalom at the 2013 Junior World Championships in Rettenbach and won the bronze medal in the super combined. Jasmin won the overall ranking of the German Cup in 2011, 2012 and 2013 .

Career

After Jasmin Huber had participated in alpine ski races for seven years , she stood on grass skis for the first time in August 2010. Just three weeks later, she drove her first races in the German Cup in Donzdorf , where she already scored her first victory in the slalom. In the 2011 season she achieved a total of five wins and four second places in the ten races of the German Cup , with which she won the overall standings with a 200 point lead over runner-up Linda Göldner .

Huber has also competed in FIS and World Cup races since 2011 . Her debut at the FIS races in Burbach at the end of May was followed a week later by her first start in the World Cup in the Super-G of Marbachegg , the first World Cup race of the 2011 season . In this Super-G, she finished eighth and last, which was her best World Cup result this year. Another two times she was able to score as eleventh of the slalom in Rettenbach and twelfth of the slalom in Předklášteří , but also in these two races she only crossed the finish line last. In the overall World Cup she was 13th and in the overall ranking of the Junior Cup she was 8th. In August / September 2011, Huber also took part in the Junior World Championship and the World Championship at the Atzmännig near Goldingen , which took place at the same time . In addition to a fifth place in the Super-G and sixth place in the giant slalom of the juniors, she achieved particularly good results in the general class for women. In the 2012 season , Huber took part in three of the twelve World Cup races. It placed between 8th and 10th place and, in contrast to the previous year, was no longer in last place. At FIS races, she achieved a podium finish for the first time with second place in the giant slalom in Altenseelbach . In the overall World Cup, however, she could not improve compared to the previous year, again she finished 13th in the final and 9th in the overall ranking of the Junior Cup. At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Burbach Huber achieved placements in the midfield. She finished in the top ten in all races and was the best result in seventh place in the giant slalom. At the national level, it was like last year, the strongest runner: She won in Germany Cup five races, thus securing ago Lisa Schischkowski again the victory in the overall standings.

In the 2013 season, Jasmin Huber drove all races for the Germany Cup, all FIS races (3 podium places), all WC races (9 placements among the top 10), started at the Junior World Championship 2013 in Rettenbach and the World Championship in Japan. At the Junior World Championships in 2013 , Jasmin Huber was the most successful female athlete of all nations. She achieved 6th place in the Super-G and 4th place in the giant slalom. In the slalom she was junior world champion and in the super combined she won the bronze medal. At the World Championships in Japan, her best placement in slalom was 12th, just behind the multiple world champion Ingrid Hirschhofer.

In the overall World Cup ranking in 2013, Jasmin Huber took 9th place and in the final score of the Junior Cup, 2nd place. She also won the overall ranking in the German Cup in 2013 , becoming German champion for the third time in a row.
