The 2012 Grass Ski World Cup began in Trieste on June 23 and ended in Rettenbach on September 2 . For women and men, four slaloms (including two sprint slaloms on a shortened route), four giant slaloms , three Super-G and one super combination were held. The overall victory for the men went to the Italian Edoardo Frau for the second time since 2008 , while the Italian Ilaria Sommavilla won the overall ranking for the first time for the women . The Junior World Championship 2012 took place in Burbach from July 25th to 29th .
