Denise Blöchlinger (born November 13, 1995 ) is a Swiss grass skier . She is a member of the Swiss junior squad, has competed in the World Cup and World Championships since 2011 and became the junior world champion in giant slalom that same year . In 2012 she became a four-time Swiss champion.

Career

Denise Blöchlinger has been taking part in competitions since the beginning of the 2011 season. She had only started grass skiing a few months earlier. Blöchlinger drove her first FIS races in Burbach at the end of May 2011 . In the World Cup they participated in the 2011 season only at the three races mid-August in San Sicario part. After a disqualification in the first giant slalom and a failure in the super combined, she won the only World Cup points of this year with eighth place in the second giant slalom. Nevertheless, it is not to be found in the official World Cup final ranking of the International Ski Federation (FIS). Blöchlinger celebrated a great success at the 2011 Junior World Championships at Atzmännig near Goldingen , when she won the gold medal in the giant slalom with almost five and a half seconds ahead of Czech Adéla Kettnerová . In addition, she was eighth in the slalom and eighth in the Super-G and thus sixth in the combination. She also took part in two races of the World Championship , which was held at the same time, in the general class and achieved 12th place in the giant slalom and 14th place in the Super-G.

In the 2012 season , Blöchlinger took part in several FIS races in 5 of the 12 World Cup races. As the best World Cup results she achieved two seventh places in the giant slalom in Marbachegg and San Sicario, in the overall World Cup she was 14th. At the Junior World Cup 2012 in Burbach , she was unable to repeat her success from the previous year. The best result was a seventh place in the slalom. At the end of the season at the Swiss Championships in 2012, Blöchlinger won all four titles in slalom, giant slalom, super-G and combined. However, she was the only starter in the women's class.
