Samin Davari (born June 2, 1991 ) is an Iranian grass skier . She took part in the World Championship in 2005 and has competed in the World Cup since 2008 .

Career

For a long time Samin Davari only competed in international grass ski races in the Iranian ski resort of Dizin and initially did not start outside of her home country. She took part in the 2005 World Cup at the age of 14 . Her only result was 17th and last place in the Super-G. In the giant slalom she dropped out in the second run, in the slalom she did not start. The Iranian won her first points in the World Cup in August 2008. In the absence of several top runners, she finished fourth in the giant slalom and seventh in the Super-G, making her 13th place in the overall ranking of the 2008 season as the best in her country. In the 2009 season Davari achieved eighth place in the Super-G at the World Cup races in Dizin, but in the giant slalom she failed in the first round. In the overall World Cup she finished 18th and, as in the previous year, was best Iranian. In the 2010 season, she finished seventh in the Dizin World Cup Super-G, but did not take part in the giant slalom. At the 2010 Junior World Championship , also taking place in Dizin , she achieved sixth place in the super combined and seventh place in the super G; in slalom and giant slalom she did not finish. In September 2010, Samin Davari took part in competitions abroad for the first time at the World Cup finals in Italy. Here she was second to last and finished fifth and ninth in the two slaloms and ninth in the giant slalom. In the Super-G, she finished twelfth and last. In 2010, she achieved twelfth place in the overall World Cup.

After Davari had not participated in any competitions in 2011, she started again in the 2012 season in World Cup races in Dizin and the World Cup finals in Rettenbach, Austria . She achieved two fourth places in the two Super-Gs by Dizin, a fifth place in the giant slalom by Dizin and sixth place in each of the slalom and super-combination by Rettenbach. In the overall World Cup, she finished eleventh - again as the best Iranian woman.

In winter 2009 Davari also took part in competitions in alpine skiing in Iran . In FIS races she was twice in the top ten and at the Iranian championships her best result was tenth place in the giant slalom.
