Lukáš Kolouch (born April 10, 1991 ) is a Czech grass skier . The two-time junior world champion in Super-G is a member of the Czech national grass ski team and has competed in the World Cup since 2006 .

Career

Kolouch drove his first FIS race on June 10, 2006. A week later he was in the top ten for the first time in the slalom in Rettenbach . In July he took part in the Junior World Championship 2006 in Horní Lhota u Ostravy , where he finished 14th in the slalom and 16th in the Super-G and thus twelfth in the combination. The Czech made his first start in the World Cup on August 19, 2006 in the giant slalom in České Petrovice , which he finished in 23rd place. In the overall ranking of the 2006 season, he finished 32nd. At the Junior World Championships in August 2007 Kolouch reached fifth place in the super combination, sixth place in slalom, ninth place in giant slalom and twelfth place in the super G. A month later he also took part in the 2007 World Championships in Olešnice v Orlických horách and achieved 17th place in the slalom as the best result. In all other competitions he was among the fastest 30. At the end of the 2007 World Cup season, the Czech finished tenth in the super combination of Rettenbach, at the same time as the Austrian Jakob Rest , was among the fastest ten in a World Cup race for the first time, making him in the Overall ranking came in 25th.

Kolouch achieved a total of four top 10 places in the 2008 World Cup season , his best result was fifth place in the slalom in Čenkovice on July 6th. So he reached seventh place in the overall World Cup. At the Junior World Championships in 2008 he came in fifth in the super combined and sixth in the giant slalom and in the super G, as in the previous year. In the 2009 season, Kolouch was among the top ten in seven World Cup races. With his best result of the season, fourth place in the slalom of Čenkovice, he just missed his first podium. In the overall standings, however, he fell three places to ten compared to the previous year. At the 2009 Junior World Championships his best results were two eighth places in slalom and super-G. At the 2009 World Championships in Rettenbach, he achieved eighth place in the super combined, eleventh in slalom, 13th in super-G and 17th in giant slalom.

In the 2010 season, Kolouch was three times in the top ten in the World Cup; his best result was fifth in the Sestriere slalom . This time he finished eleventh in the overall World Cup. He achieved consistently good performances at the 2010 Junior World Championships in Dizin , when he was on the podium in all four competitions. He was junior world champion in the super-G, won the silver medal in the super combination and bronze in both slalom and giant slalom. In the fourth World Cup race of the 2011 season , the slalom in Předklášteří on August 7, Kolouch was third for the first time in the World Cup on the podium. In the overall World Cup, like three years earlier, he achieved seventh place. At the Junior World Championships 2011 in Goldingen he won the gold medal in the Super-G and the silver medal in the giant slalom, as in the previous year. In the slalom he was eliminated after leading at halftime in the second round, which also left him with no result in the combination. At the world championship held at the same time , he reached sixth place in the super combined as well as eleventh place in the giant slalom and 13th place in the super-G. In the slalom he was second after the first run, but was disqualified in the second run due to a peat error.

In the 2012 season, Kolouch was among the top ten in eight out of twelve World Cup races, placing him again in seventh place in the overall World Cup. As the best result of the season, he achieved fifth place in the Trieste slalom right from the start . In 2012, Kolouch also won the overall ranking of the Czech Cup in the men's class for the first time.
