Grass ski world championship 2009
The 16 Grasski World Cup took place from 2 to 6 September 2009 at the Austrian Rettenbach instead. The place in Burgenland already hosted the 2004 Junior World Championships . The championship began with the opening ceremony on Wednesday September 2nd. The giant slalom, super-G, slalom and super-combination competitions were held from Thursday to Sunday.

All competitions were held on the Rettenbachschale grass ski slope (coordinates: 47 ° 24 ′ 36 ″ north, 16 ° 14 ′ 34 ″ east ) of the Rettenbach ski center . The slope has an average gradient of 23.2%, the minimum gradient is 12.5% and the maximum gradient in the upper start area is 31.4%. The race director of all competitions was the Austrian Dieter Posch, technical delegate of the FIS of the Slovak Ladislav Šandor.
