Mitra Kalhor (born September 14, 1985 ) is an Iranian alpine and former grass skier . She took part in the Grass Ski World Championships in 2005 and 2009 and in the Alpine Ski World Championships in 2009 and 2011 . In Grasski World Cup she managed a podium finish in the Alpine Ski World Cup they had not been at the start.

Career

Grass ski

Kalhor began her athletic career in grass skiing. She made her first international appearances at the FIS races in the Czech municipality of Branná in August 2005. She reached 13th place in the giant slalom and in the Super-G. Four weeks later she took part in the 2005 World Cup in the Iranian ski resort of Dizin . She was 14th in the Super-G as well as tenth and last in the giant slalom. In the slalom, she was eliminated in the first round. After not taking part in any races in the 2006 season, she started in the World Cup on July 12, 2007 for the first time . In Dizin's Super-G, she immediately took second place, but in the absence of most of the top runners. So she came in the 2007 season tied with her compatriot Marjan Kalhor in 13th place in the overall standings. In the 2008 season , Kalhor took part again in the World Cup races in Dizin and achieved fifth place in the Super-G and sixth in the giant slalom, which brought her to 14th place in the overall ranking. She contested her next World Cup races again in Dizin in August 2009, but this time only reached ninth place in the Super-G as the penultimate. In the giant slalom she was disqualified in the first round. At the end of August, she also took part in the World Cup races in Maria Gugging, Austria, but was eliminated in both slalom and giant slalom. In the overall ranking of the 2009 season, she finished 19th. In September of this year she took part in the 2009 Grass Ski World Championships in Rettenbach and came in penultimate three times. She was ninth in slalom, twelfth in giant slalom and fifteenth in super-G. In the super combined she was disqualified after a goal error. After 2009 she did not take part in any grass ski races.

Alpine skiing

In the winter of 2005/06 Kalhor took part in her first FIS races in alpine skiing in Turkey and Iran, in which she was mostly able to classify herself among the top ten. In the next winter she drove in the FIS races in Iran several times under the top three and at the Iranian championships she was second in slalom and in giant slalom. The first victory in a FIS race celebrated on February 4, 2008 at the slalom in Dizin and two weeks later she was in Schemschak Iranian champion in slalom. In February 2009 Kalhor was one of three Iranians to take part in the World Cup in Val-d'Isère . In slalom she finished penultimate 49th and in giant slalom third from bottom 58th. After she had started again in FIS races and national championships for the next two years, she also took part in the 2011 World Championship in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . In the giant slalom, she finished third from last, 89th place, while in the slalom she was eliminated in the first round.
